Description
This is called ✨guarapo✨ — raw sugarcane that has been pressed and served on ice. I first had it at Los Pinareños Fruteria in Little Havana, Florida.
What I thought was interesting to learn was that the United States does actually grow sugarcane. I did not know that previously. Florida is the leading producing state (where I had it) — with Louisiana, Texas, and Hawai‘i growing it too.
If you ever see it somewhere, get it. It’s good.
