One of my favorite rituals when visiting a city is trying to get to the highest publicly accessible spot.
This was my view from the top of the Reunion Tower Observation Deck in Dallas, Texas at sunset. Built in 1978 and known locally as "The Ball," it took me 561 feet up into the atmosphere, offering an absolutely beautiful panoramic view.
If you look closely in the bottom right, you can see the location where President John F. Kennedy took a very historic ride in 1963 while turning onto Elm Street near Dealey Plaza.
