At 12,800 feet near Mount Blue Sky, it’s one of the highest fishable alpine lakes in the lower 48. Cutthroat trout are common, while the surrounding alpine tundra is home to mountain goats, bighorn sheep, yellow-bellied marmots, and pikas.
